Pioneering new ways of working with GenAI
Ambition Setting & Ethical Principles
At frog, looking inward — a collaborative process to swim through uncharted waters
-
Gen AI’s swift adoption and low barrier to entry has inspired a critical inflection point to shape and design what Gen AI could mean for us as an industry, as humans, and designers. Ensuring AI-influenced futures are inclusive, ethical, and authentic is imperative - so we set out as a small but mighty team to grapple with some of the most pertinent questions concerning the future of Gen AI for our design organization, our clients, and society.
-
I co-lead a small cross-functional team thinking about the future of GenAI at frog. We identified four priority areas to explore for organizations to move forward:
Ethics: What ethical guidelines for Gen AI should we define and follow to ensure the creation of human-centered and sustainable futures?
Ambition: What is our unique perspective and differentiated approach to Gen AI in the near-term and longer-term?
Use Cases: What are the most important Gen AI use cases for us within the context of the work that we do?
Tools: Which tools should we invest in to realize the potential of the prioritized use cases?
We delved into these questions by conducting a series of four cross-functional hybrid workshops that bridge the creation of an aspirational ambition and path forward for our organization.

We created the foundation for investment in these tools and are piloting technologies and establishing training to introduce new ways of working. Looking ahead, we will leverage our Gen AI working team model to continuously evaluate new tools, evolve training while enhancing discipline-specific best practices and keeping the organization informed about what is on the horizon.
